Japanese wood hibachi with gilt lacquer and inlaid mother-of-pearl decoration of gold strawberry leaves and red strawberries. Circa 1900. Small gold butterfly accent on back. Hibachis were used throughout the house to provide warmth and tea, now they're often used as planters. No maker's mark. Oxidized copper liner. Some wear to gilt enamel.

Antique "Star of David" Sarreguemines Majolica Tavern Pitcher.Made by the Sarreguemines Majolica Factory in the east of France, my book says that the makersmark was used from 1834 until about 1890. If this was made between 1870-1890 the town of Sarreguemines was German, it became once again French after WWI in 1918. That is why I put both in the Country of Origin. Great original condition a few tiny pin holes to the rim. Marked in hollow and numbered.
