Late 1800s rare custom-made childs' dog sled in original orange paint. Back runner has hand wrought curved iron work where left foot would stand on back of sled and right foot would be used for steering. Found in upstate New York.

Chief High Hawk was a member of the Lakota Sioux tribe of South Dakota and lived near Rosebud and had historical ties to Wounded Knee, Chief Two Strike, and Chief Crow Dog. Oval platter and six plates with deer, elk, moose scenes made by Buffalo Pottery of Buffalo, NY. Signed by artist R.K. Beck, a wildlife artist whose paintings were used to create transfer prints applied to dishes in the early-20th century. This set is estimated to have been manufactured between 1909 and '14. Buffalo Pottery mark on back. Platter measures 15.38" w x 11.25" h; dishes 9.25 diameter.
