Burley-Winter vase with open double handles. Burley-Winter was one of America"s great pottery manufacturers. They operated from 1872 til about the mid-1930s in Crooksville, Ohio. A few glaze misses during production. The markings on the underside are not legible due to heavy glaze.
This a great Mid-Century brass bull. The stylize markings, shaped surface and the pose, give this sculpture a feeling of immense power. There are no makers marks on it.
