Master antiquarians and twin brothers Leigh and Leslie Keno have seen their fair share of exquisite furnishings over the years. This impressive cabinet is masterfully crafted of figured birch and hyedua veneers, a durable wood native to west Africa. The grid around the exterior of this piece provides a subtle backdrop for the expressive, fluid grain. The doors open to reveal two drawers and an adjustable shelf.
With a convex frieze and a drawer that echoes the gentle arched line of the front of the skirt, continuing to the serpentine legs, this desk is truly a symphony of curves. Meticulously constructed through-and-through, right down to the finely cut dovetails featuring choice figured block anegre wood with a distinguished blond sycamore writing surface.
