French Art Deco cabinet newly painted black with a light gray interior. The piece was originally made in walnut veneer and is dated 1937 on the back of the mirror. The cabinet features four wood doors with brass handles, paneled sides, and a plinth base with dentil molding. Each side cabinet has four adjustable shelves, the middle part has two. The top part in the center is a small vitrine with decorative silver metal glass doors, a glass shelf and a mirror in back. Age wear.

Curved armrests and scalloped aprons feature relief carved garlands and a large central flower, as well as carved scrolls along the edge. Rosettes grace the die joints, which sit on turned and fluted legs. The rush seats are low, being 14" from the ground and topped with a 2" cushion and are in great condition.

A superb French Empire Period bedside cabinet nightstand in walnut, from the early 1800s. The multi-tonal walnut has a marvelous 200 year old patina. Two column legs in the front are emblematic of the Empire style. At the top and bottom of the columns are gilt bronze hardware pieces with stylized floral motif and repeating ribs and beading. The front feet are wide and turned. One drawer sits atop a single door cabinet. A lower shelf with a concave front edge rests just above the feet.
