There’s nothing cooler than taking a vintage piece and making it new again. So when we saw how street-style stars and the fashion pack, including couturiers Céline and Chanel, were reviving the timeless brooch, we couldn’t contain our style envy. The brooch is officially back, and the perfect one can make your outfit truly one of a kind. It’s time to bring the classic pin into the 21st century.

3 Ways to Nail the Look

Wear it casual. Pin your piece low on your sweater or blazer for a look that’s free and easy. Wearing the brooch as a relaxed accessory gives your outfit a blasé yet too-chic-for-words vibe.

Make a statement. Add an extra-large brooch or cluster several brooches together on an otherwise simple silhouette in a solid color. The brooches will stand out against your outfit for a quirky, trendsetting touch.

String it on a necklace. If you’re feeling creative, string a brooch on a chain to make a necklace. Turning your brooch into an original necklace ensures that your piece is something no one else will have. Don’t be surprised if all your friends clamor to know where you got your latest adornment.

I’ve been wearing brooches for years. The biggest problem is finding one that looks classic/classy OR very cool. I do not do well with the ‘cool’ kind because of my age. Rhinestones are for holidays. So fun to look for them on ebay or in antique shops!
