The bad news is lack of time is no longer an excuse for not doing a bit of holiday decorating. The good news is adding a bit of festive flair just got a whole lot easier. A simple bowl piled high with ornaments is quick and foolproof, and it lets you play with palettes without having to commit to the kinds of quantities a tree requires. We opted for a mix of vintage ornaments in a variety of shapes and sizes, all unified by their cool pastel hues (a choice that can easily stay on display through the new year).
A few more ornament/vessel combos to consider:
1. Green “Ombré” Ornaments & a White Soup Tureen
A mix of transparent glass and matte orbs, all in various shades of emerald, pop when piled inside a white ceramic soup tureen.
2. Wintery Metallics & a Wood Bowl
A simple wood bowl helps temper the glitz of silver and gold ornaments. Adding a few woodland-animal ornaments is a fun way to mix things up.
