I love adding a little handmade touch to my wrapped gifts, and these acorn-topped tassels are just too cute for words! Besides making your gifts seem more special than ever, they also add a sweet personal touch to a bottle of wine or holiday baked goods. Keep reading for my supersimple how-to. These are so fun (and easy) to make that I guarantee you won’t want to stop!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- A small branch of long pine needles
- Twine
- Acorn caps (with the nut removed)
To begin, pluck a few pine needles from the branch, and cut a length of twine about 8 inches long. Bundle the needles together, and wrap the twine securely around the top, leave the ends of the twine long so that you can knot them together to create a loop for hanging. Now add a drop of glue to the inside of the acorn cap, and secure it to the top of the bundle. Voilà! You’re done!
Tip: The acorn nut usually pops right out, but if you have trouble removing it you can use a nutcracker.
