Get in the Christmas Spirit with #MyHolidayStyle

Filed Under:

The most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner, and we’re getting ready to decorate, gift, and entertain in style all season long. Our top source of inspiration this year? Your #MyHolidayStyle snaps on Instagram! From trimming the tree to decking the halls and everything in between, we want to see how you do holiday, so add the hashtag to your snaps and you may get featured on our Holiday Community Page!

Below, some spirited inspiration from a few of our favorite Instagrammers.

Max Out Your Holiday Greenery à la @lhcalligraphy

When decking the halls, make sure you don’t stop there: Extend your holiday decor to the front door and porch to greet guests with cheer all season long. We love the mix of wreaths, garlands, and potted boxwoods on this fresh front porch. (Adorable pup optional but highly encouraged!)

Create a Winter Wonderland à la @jacinfitzgerald

Want to branch out from traditional red and green but still keep your table feeling festive? Try styling your tablescape in icy blue, white, and silver instead. Finish the look with live greenery and sheepskin-draped dining chairs for a cozy wintry feel.

Get Krafty à la  @josephowen

You already know we love boldly patterned designer gift wrap, but sometimes you just want to keep it simple. When the occasion calls for something more minimal, try a wrapping of neutral kraft paper with a baker’s-twine bow and a sprig of winter berries. Want to go the extra mile? Tie on a glimmering Moravian star ornament, et voilà!

Make a Grand Entrance à la @nancynolanphotography

Looking for a low-effort, high-impact piece to add to your home for the holidays? Try draping a verdant and glossy magnolia garland down your staircase banister. It will bring undeniable glamour to any entryway and look just as dramatic as it dries throughout the season.

Stir Up Some Festive Sips à la @ashroseconway

Once the temperature drops, we’re all about the cozy. And what could be more warming on a chilly evening than a steaming mug of decadently spiced hot buttered rum? Make like cocktail creator Ashley Conway and serve yours in a copper-handled mug alongside peacock-blue linens and gilded spoons. Your guests will be beyond impressed.

Embrace the Outdoors à la @honestlywtf

If you live in a warmer climate, it can sometimes be difficult to adapt the spirit of the season to your surroundings. The solution? Embracing the traditions of similarly temperate locales, as Erica Chan Coffman did with this Tuscany-inspired holiday tablescape. Try it at home by incorporating garlands of olive branches and nubby linen napkins, and you’ll be ready for the festa dei sette pesci in no time.

Add a Rustic Touch à la @evakosmasflores

However much we love a glammed-up holiday tablescape dripping in silver and gold, there’s something to be said about the rustic warmth of a simpler setting that embraces the bounty of the season. Recreate this organic-inspired look at home (perfect for Thanksgiving!) by strewing your dining table with berry branches and fresh fall fruit and styling a color-coordinated place setting for each guest.

Make It Your Own à la @monikahibbs

We think a lush cedar garland draped along a banister is always stunning, but we were floored when we saw this layered, personalized greenery display on Monika Hibbs’s feed. To get the look at home, try layering in branches of live eucalyptus and pinecone ornaments, securing the zhushed-up garland with two shades of satin ribbon tied in a bow.

Create Some Christmas Curb Appeal à la @theyellownote

A white picket fence is ideal any time of year, but we especially love it decked out for the holidays. Try hanging a wreath (or two!) from your front gate or mailbox pillar to greet guests and passersby alike to an extra dose of holiday cheer all season long.
