Recently a smart new home app called Housepad caught our attention (it didn’t hurt that it was masterminded by Michael Bruno, the founder of 1stdibs , and obviously a man of good ideas). You can think of it as the app equivalent of a command center for your home, holding all the information you and everyone involved in your everyday life might need—be it your babysitter, your dogsitter, or your maid. As Michael describes it, “It’s a home for your home.” Here’s a quick look at its coolest features.
Your Home, Simply Maintained
When you sign up, you’ll be asked to add specific people to your master contact list in the app. Get everyone signed up and then you’ll have access to Housepad’s main functions, which allow you to do everything from sending digital reminders about taking out the dogs or adding something to the weekly grocery list to creating a one-stop directory of emergency contacts, such as your child’s teacher and your vet.
Our favorite part?
The Lookbook feature lets you add notes and snaps of receipts, instructions, warranties, care instructions, and other reminders tied to items and objects in a specific area you photograph in your home. So you can toss those old manuals and free yourself of other unwieldy paper trails.
Housepad is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices so get downloading!
