After our team sourced some seriously amazing vintage barware for a very spirited sale today, we knew we had to find the perfect cocktail to fill the decorative glasses. So we turned to the editor-in-chief of one of our favorite online magazines, Sweet Paul, to share his go-to summer cocktail that harks back to the good ol’ days. Here is his recipe for a “Paul’s Pimm’s” that we’re sure will kick up any summer cocktail or garden party.
Paul on his Pimm’s: “Pimm’s No. 1 is a mix of gin and aromatic herbs. It has a really fresh and unique taste that I simply love in the summer. When having a party I always make this drink by the pitcher and am sure to fill my guests’ glasses to the brim!”
Makes 1 glass
- 2 strawberries, halved (keep the leaves on the berries)
- 1 slice lemon
- 1 slice lime
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 4 oz Pimm’s No. 1
- Ginger ale
Fill a large glass with ice, strawberries, lemon, lime, and a few cucumber slices. Add the Pimm’s, and top off with a splash of ginger ale. Stir and serve! If making in a pitcher, simply adjust the recipe according to the size of the pitcher, and don’t be shy with the Pimm’s!
Add some vintage flair to your home bar!
