Pile on Pillows
In the cooler months, more is more when it comes to pillows. Consider supplementing standard shams with a set of Euro pillows, which give the bed a finished, designer look—and make reading in bed ultracomfortable.

Layer on Warmth
To ward off chills, make sure you have lots of layers on hand. Top your coverlet and duvet with a cozy blanketwe’re partial to chunky knit throws for their luxe look and addictively soft feel. You’ll be tempted to stay in bed all day (or at least linger awhile longer with your morning coffee).

Add Softness Underfoot
Don’t make getting up harder than it has to be! Create a soft landing spot next to the bed by layering on a short runner or other accent rug. Its plush texture will only add to the cool-weather coziness of the space—and make it a bit easier to leave the comfort of your covers.

Get Cozy
Sheepskin rugs and faux-fur accents add coziness like nothing else. So try incorporating one (or a couple!) in your space. A few ideas: Add a long sheepskin to the end of your bed in place of a traditional throw, put one beside your bed to warm up your floors, or drape a smaller design over the back of a chair.

Swap Sheets
Now’s the time to switch out classic cotton sheets for something a little more heavy-duty. We love linen for its soft, airy texture and its ability to keep you comfortably warm (read more about why we love linen here), and flannel sheets are perfect for those especially cold nights.
