Tour a Romantic Villa on the French Riviera

All eyes have been on Cannes this summer, what with the Cannes Film Festival in May and Cannes Lions in June. And design-lovers are looking too. AD Russia is taking us into a romantic seaside villa in the town of Saint-Raphaël, France, which sits on the Côte D’Azur just south of Cannes. With whitewashed doors, toile curtains, and cinematic views of the sea, it certainly deserves an award.

Step into Gwyneth Paltrow’s Dreamy NYC Home

It’s always fun to see how the other half lives, and Gwyneth Paltrow is the latest to give us a peek. The actress recently shared her NYC apartment, which is on sale, via Goop, and it’s nothing short of dreamy. Designed in conjunction with Roman and Williams, known for Ace Hotel New York, it is exceptionally ethereal, with delicate whites, lavenders, silvers, and grays. And then there’s the hanging sofa and an expansive flokati rug: It’s like floating on a cloud.

Set Your Sights on Spain

A jaunt to the Mediterranean in the summer is never a bad idea, and with a thousand miles of Mediterranean coastline, ancient port cities, resort towns, historic art and architecture, and delicious food, Spain is as good a place as any to start. Condé Nast Traveler is showing us around the most beautiful coastal towns in Spain, from San Sebastián to Málaga, and we’re packing our bags.

See Small-Space Living at Its Finest

Residing in a 110-square-meter home in Prahran, Australia (a suburb of Melbourne), Susannah Lempriere and Philip Messenger know a thing or two about postage-stamp living. In fact, they may just have perfected it. From their distinctive Victorian cottage exterior with its vivid green front door to their neutral living room with palm-print pillows to their quaint kitchen gallery wall, they’ve gone minimal where it counts and found streamlined ways to bring the small space to life.

Is there any summer meal more delicious than a salty seared slice of skirt steak and fresh seasonal sides like a corn salad? We think not. Salt & Wind is showing us how to perfect that summer skirt steak, a favorite on Florentine menus. Simple and juicy, it’s a dish we’ll be eating ’til September.
