Here’s a look at what we’re loving from around the web this week…

Inside an Architect’s Monochromatic London Home

In architect Spencer Fung’s London home, it’s the close attention to details that brings the Victorian townhome to life. Bespoke features abound, including furnishings designed by Fung (the sofa and the asterisk-shape table in the photo to the left, for example) and a custom kitchen made of striking gray marble. A black-and-white palette is complemented with antiques, preserved historic features, and quasi-minimalist style in a way that feels cohesively fresh and livable.

Visit the Grand Lighthouses of Ireland

Lighthouses, while often decommissioned in favor of the more modern GPS, still evoke that romantic seafaring spirit. They’re a common sight on the coast of Ireland (it is an island, after all), and a recently introduced tourism trail has renewed public interest in their unique heritage. From former keepers’ quarters available to rent to a cozy spot to order a gin and tonic and take a respite from the ocean wind, these lighthouses offer a welcome—if different—approach to a maritime lifestyle.

Tour a Ladylike, Antiques-Filled Home in Sydney

A celebrated fashion designer, Collette Dinnigan has in recent years turned her attention toward another type of design: interiors. Her feminine aesthetic translates beautifully to the home, as evidenced in her gorgeous former residence in Sydney. Outfitted with ladylike details (lavender upholstery, delicate lace) and decorator-favorite furnishings (chinoiserie bamboo side tables, white slipcover sofas), the space is truly a lovely sight to behold.

Host a Pie Party

A cocktail party, a tree-trimming party, a tacky-Christmas-sweater party: When it comes to hosting a festive fete, you’ve certainly got a generous selection of classic themes from which to choose. So why not mix it up? We’re loving blog Coco Kelley’s idea of throwing a pie party, a fresh take on the holiday get-together that celebrates the dish in both savory and sweet varieties.
