Why we love this
Exquisite 19th-century watercolor of a small town street by H. Gurilich. The masterful work features two townswomen congregating around a man and his cart. The elegant and subtle palette is mostly monochromatic with color employed in the garb of the townsfolk. The brushwork is fine and delicate and the artist demonstrates great sensitivity to his subject. Signed lower right. Beautifully presented under glass in a carved dark wood frame with gilt accents.
