Abstract expressionist oil on canvas, dated 1964, by Horace L. Farlowe (1933-2006). Painted by Farlowe while doing graduate studies in sculpture at East Carolina University, this bold and dynamic painting shows the influence of midcentury expressionist masters. Farlowe was a very successful artist known for both his paintings and sculpture.
