A 1986 graduate of Christie's Fine Arts of London, I headed the fine art department of a West Coast auction house before opening my own gallery. Each painting I represent is selected with care. I believe fine art to be an integral part of life, illuminating both our vision and our values for our children. As time passes, our paintings become heirlooms, enriched with our shared memories. Many things come and go. Art abides. - Anthony McNaught
Why we love this
A period midcentury modernist oil of an old stone-built harbor lined with houses. Various figures can be seen in the narrow streets while bales lie on a wooden dock waiting to be loaded. Signed lower left "Jack Balbes" (American, 20th century) and painted circa 1950. Unframed.
