Located in Midtown East Manhattan, the Phyllis Lucas Gallery/Old Print Center has one of the largest collections of antique prints and fine art in New York City. With a long and storied history, our gallery holds the distinction as the first publisher of Salvador Dali’s lithographs in America and has been among the foremost of the city's dealers in antique works on paper since its founding in 1928.
Why we love this
Lithographic restrike of an earlier rendering of the same image. Shows a colorful depiction of Ophiuchus, a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is from the Greek "serpent-bearer," and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Unframed.
