Why We Love This

Nan and Ann in Thrift Town by Laura Rountree Smith. M. A. Donohue & Co., 1925. A lovely little book, strongly bound with minor age wear. Pre-Depression-era stories involving the Fairy Thrift who preaches "the battle against waste." Dutifully, the twins begin to save their wax paper and string for re-use, and to guard against frivolous expenditures. A product of a bygone time with charming illustrations. 127 pp.
