Why we love this

A fine-art giclée print on canvas of "Gamma Pi" (1960) by American artist Morris Louis (1912-1962), one of the earliest exponents of Color Field painting. In contrast to other innovative movements of the late 1950s and early '60s, Color Field painters put forward a vastly simplified notion of what constitutes a "finished" painting. Louis's later work is comprised of rivulets of opaque, intense color flowing from both sides of large white fields of raw canvas. Custom frame.
