This pillow's hand-dyed cover was woven by an artisan from the lakeside village of San Juan la Laguna, Guatemala, using a traditional method of weaving called the back-strap loom. It features a pattern, achieved by the intricate tie dye technique jaspé. This pattern, specific to San Juan la Laguna, represents the pine trees found in that village, along the shores of Lake Atitlan. This pillow was made in partnership with non-profit organization Maya Traditions. Fair-trade.
