Located in Midtown East Manhattan, the Phyllis Lucas Gallery/Old Print Center has one of the largest collections of antique prints and fine art in New York City. With a long and storied history, our gallery holds the distinction as the first publisher of Salvador Dali’s lithographs in America and has been among the foremost of the city's dealers in antique works on paper since its founding in 1928.
Why we love this
"Tuscan Hill House" by Rachel Newman. Newman attended the Art Students League and the National Academy, both in New York. In a prior life Rachel Newman was the founder and 20-year Editor-in-Chief of "Country Living" magazine. Following her retirement from the magazine she took up landscape painting in Tuscany. She is currently painting at the Grand Central Atelier in New York using the techniques of 17th and 18th century Spanish and Dutch still life masters. Signed lower right. Unframed.
