Why We Love This

A sublime abstraction full of the sunshine and blues of a day at the beach. This is a fine print on canvas of the original mixed-media work. It arrives ready to hang with a 1.5-inch stretcher bar. "People call me 'the Organic Artist' because of the feel of my work,” explains Malibu-based Deb Haugen. A self-described "artist/environmentalist" who supplies art to the television and film industries, Haugen says she is “infatuated by the forms, colors, and textures of hidden worlds.” Her artworks strive to make the hidden visible, with sometimes sweeping, sometimes tightly controlled swaths, streaks, and strokes of color that reflect the beautiful abstractions inherent in nature.
