Why we love this
Large round Rambouillet earthenware hunting platter from The Gien Art Faience Collection. This plate was hand-painted in France, making it a one-of-a-kind piece of art with the painter's Initials on the reverse. The back stamp dates the plate between 1960 and 1971. The Rambouillet game service was designed and first painted in 1952 by Gien's creative director, Jean Bertholle, a major French painter of the postwar period. The plate shows the name of the creator of the bottom: J. Bertholle.
