Located in Midtown East Manhattan, the Phyllis Lucas Gallery/Old Print Center has one of the largest collections of antique prints and fine art in New York City. With a long and storied history, our gallery holds the distinction as the first publisher of Salvador Dali’s lithographs in America and has been among the foremost of the city's dealers in antique works on paper since its founding in 1928.
Why we love this
Original lithograph "Central Park, the Terrace" by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Whey Mould, is a panoramic view of Bethesda Fountain. This print is one of the most important historical renderings of Central Park during its ongoing construction in the 1860s, distinguished by its beauty and because it was done by Vaux and Mould. Vaux, along with Fredrick Olmstead, were the architects of the Park. Mould did much of the sculptural decorations of the fountain and other sections of Central Park. Unframed.
