American Indian Stories by Zitkala-Ša (Gertrude Bonnin). Hayworth Publishing House, 1921. Hardcover, author photo at title spread. Signed first edition, 195 pages. Zitkala-Ša was born on February 22, 1876 on the Yankton Indian Reservation in South Dakota to a Dakota mother and a European-American father. Until 1884 Zitkala-Ša lived on the reservation, when she was sent to a training school in Indiana. Foxing, bumped corners, marks. Penciled numbers to one page.
