Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original lithograph from a 1920s folio based on George Catlin's North American Indian paintings. Catlin traveled among the Great Plains Indians during the summers of 1832 to 1837 recording their costumes and culture on canvas. Shown are cradles used by the Sioux tribe. Conservation matted to fit a standard frame size. Image, 5.5"L x 7.5"H; overall, 12"L x 16"H. Includes a certificate with additional information.
