Why we love this
Dimensional oval rimmed and footed bowl, Palissy School of Paris in the 17th century style, circa 1870. Unusual two tone coloring of French blue and a pale sea green on a light sand colored, textured ground. Crustacea, sea plant life and various seashells are highlighted by a snake, lizard and frog. A Tortoise Shell glazed verso. A more unusual example of Palissy due to the coloring, in very good to excellent condition. Age appropriate minor losses, a shallow flake to rim of verso.
