A 1979 graduate of the University of California in aesthetic studies and fine art photography, I have spent many years photographing the California mountains and coast. I met Ansel Adams in 1979 at his Carmel studio and have been collecting California plein air paintings since 1986. I offer a wide variety of artists and genres and hope you enjoy my passion for paintings and sculpture.
Why we love this
Hand-colored engraving entitled "Purgatory" by the artist Charles Griswold, a well-known illustrator of the second half of the 19th century. Full-page book plate from the classic "Picturesque America," edited by William Cullen Bryant, published by Appleton in 1872. Unsigned. Displayed in a silver wood frame. Image, 9.75"H x 7"L.
