Why we love this
19th-century Qing dynasty Chinese debutante chair. Used by aristocracy allowing daughters to sit/greet suitors under the watchful eye of parents. Done in rare type of Chinese rosewood called blackwood that was only accessible to Asian royalty due to price. Seat, 17"H. Recently restored and reupholstered.
