Why we love this
January 1882 charcoal on paper by French artist Eugene Fourault. This academic drawing was created while studying at the esteemed École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in the early 1880s. His work focuses on the traditional subjects of classical architecture, antiquities and reliefs. This fine charcoal drawing bears the handsome stamp of the school in the upper corner, with the date and year in which it was completed. Unframed. Standard size archival mat. Minor creasing.
