Why we love this
Graduated Moroccan Phenolic resin beads in two colors--one side darker than the other--also known as "African Amber." Phenolic resin is a manmade plastic similar to Bakelite in that it is an early plastic first made in the 1930s. Europeans would trade these for ivory and gold, and used like currency by Africans. Bead size varies from 1" to 0.5".
