A 1979 graduate of the University of California in aesthetic studies and fine art photography, I have spent many years photographing the California mountains and coast. I met Ansel Adams in 1979 at his Carmel studio and have been collecting California plein air paintings since 1986. I offer a wide variety of artists and genres and hope you enjoy my passion for paintings and sculpture.
Why we love this
19th-century Audubon lithograph of American Scoter Duck (plate 403) comes from Birds of America, the Royal Octavo Edition (1840-1844). The first edition print was completed under the direct supervision of John James Audubon himself. This edition was lithographed and hand-colored by J. T. Bowen of Philadelphia. Presented in painted wood and giltwood frame with linen mat. Image, 6.5"H x 10"L.
