Since 1994, Pierre and Cathy Négrel have been traveling to France in search of antique furniture and accents for our Austin, Texas store. We select each piece with an eye toward quality and distinctiveness. Négrel Antiques provides a magnificent selection of 18th- and 19th-century buffets, bookcases, and armoires, French farm tables, Carpenter's workbenches, Provençal commodes, Louis Philippe mirrors, Art Deco armchairs, Louis XVI chests and an eclectic mix of lighting.
Why we love this
Egouttoir cabinet made of solid pine from the Provence region of France, circa 1900. "Egouttoir" translates to draining rack, and this piece was originally used to store and dry dishes and pots. Some cracks and discoloration on wood. Restoration on two back legs. Planks of wood on bottom have been replaced. Bottom shelf is slightly bowed.
