Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
The West by Eliot Porter. New York Graphics Society, 1988. First edition. 104 pages with 87 full-page color plates. Includes dust jacket in Mylar cover. The spectacular beauty of the American West captured by the great nature photographer Porter in his near abstract, painterly style.
