Antique hand-colored engraving titled "Rhododendron Arborica" from "Paxton's Magazine of Botany and Register of Flowering Plants" published in London in the mid-1800s. Sir Joseph Paxton was head gardener to Duke of Devonshire at Chatworth and one of the leading English botanists of the Victorian era. Matted in acid-free, 4-ply green mat. Framed in wood with an antiqued finish. Image size, 7.75"L x 11.25"H; overall, 12.5"L x 16"H.
