Why we love this
Set of three mid-19th-century decorative wall plaques that were part of a series that featured French citizens in a variety of dining situations. Each plate is titled, shows a scene, and has a menu for the scene included in the plaque's decoration. These three are titled Au Bouillon (soup), Aux Halles (in the hall), and Au Grand Air (in the open air) The back side of the plates have the Sarreguemines mark and two hols in the plate's rim to allow hanging. Found near Lyon. Minor age wear.
