Oil painting of Northern California by John Dominique (1893-1994), circa 1930. Displayed in a gold leafed hand-carved wood frame by Shawn Speck. John Dominique studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art, the Van Sloun School of Painting, and the Santa Barbara School of Art, where he was under the tutelage of Colin Campbell Cooper and Carl Oscar Borg. He spent his later years painting in Santa Barbara and Ojai.
