Why we love this

Landscape painting titled "Desert Portal" by California Impressionist artist Sam Hyde Harris (1889-1977), circa 1930. Displayed in a gold leafed hand-carved wood frame by Shawn Speck. Harris worked as a commercial artist for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway, and also for the Southern Pacific Railways illustrating advertising posters of the Southwest. He studied and traveled with Hanson Puthuff throughout California and Arizona.
