Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
Leonardo da Vinci by various authors. New York: Reynal & Co., 1963. 518 pages with 1609 gravure and 12 full color illustrations. Hardware with dust jacket. The most comprehensive volume ever published on the work of Leonardo. His endeavors in art, architecture, engineering and numerous scientific fields are richly detailed and documented in a project that was first assembled in Italy in the 1930s and completed after the war. Light jacket wear and light age-tanning and spotting to page borders.
