Oil on board seascape painting by Harry van der Weyden. Born in 1868 in Boston, van der Weyden studied at the Slade School and the Julien School under J.P. Laurens. He was an officer with the Royal Engineers from 1916 to 1918. Exhibited at the Royal Institute 1904, Royal Academy 1880 and 1922, Paris 1891, Montreuil-sur Mer 1990. In 1916 he held a personal exhibition at the Pas de Calais. Signed lower right and dated 1900. Gallery label on back.
