I've been a dealer in rare books and art for over 30 years. I spent my early years training and providing animals for films, stage and TV. It was great fun, and evolved into a love for finding rare books and art, with a bias towards things "dog, horse and cat." I look for rarity, condition, and price when deciding which items to offer for sale. Uniqueness and value are what will drive my site—and although my love of animals is obvious, I strive to offer items that are diverse and exciting.
Why we love this
John Milton's L'Allegro and Il Penseroso, in a single volume, with 12 illustrations by William Blake. New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1954. 818/1500. Il Penserosos, with a Note Upon the Paintings by Chauncey Brewster Tinker; 44 pages. L'Allegro, with a Note Upon the Poems by W. P. Trent; 43 pages. Hardcover, dark green cloth with gilt lettering, marbled endpapers, all edges tinted green. Two poems by Milton, printed "dos-á-dos" in an interesting arrangement by Bruce Rogers.
