Why we love this
The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1977. First printing. A very good copy of the true first printing, as denoted by a misprint among the author's other books: "Father Giles of Ham," instead of "Farmer." Tolkien considered this his most important work, a great collection of tales and legends that set the stage for the Ring Saga. With a beautiful fold-out map of Beleriand, in near perfect condition, with minor wear to dust jacket spine tips.
