Black Sheep Antiques was started in 1999 by third-generation antiques dealer David Byerly and his wife Susan. The couple travel throughout Europe to find the best and most interesting pieces of antique furniture and home accessories. Through One Kings Lane and their 10,000 square-foot shop in Highpoint, NC, they offer countless charming and unforgettable antique items.
Why we love this
19th-century mahogany Canterbury from England. The sides are pierced and are joined by serpentine-shaped rails, which are connected to the base by hand-turned barley twist spindles. The base has a single drawer and is raised on hand-turned feet, which appear to retain the original casters. Age wear and shrinkage.
