Why we love this
French round wine tasting table dating from the middle of the 19th century. The top tilts to the vertical position with lyre-shaped turning bracket to lock the top into the horizontal position. The top is beech and the base is a mixture of hardwoods including oak, beech, and walnut. Tables of this type were used in vinyards for tasting events and tilted for easy storage between events. Found near Beaune. Minor wear.
