Why we love this
Original page from Adam Lonitzer's "Krauter Buch," (Germany, 1569) showing a small woodcut of a unicorn (Monoceros) with the description in Gothic German. According to the description, Unicorns lived on the plains of India, but none have ever been captured. Displayed in an acid-free 11"L x 14"H mat. Overall page size, 7.75"L x 12"H. Minor staining, pinhole.
