Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original hand-colored engraving of roses from an early-1800s English botanical dictionary edited by the herbalist Thomas Green that claimed to include "all the known plants in the world." The Roses shown include the "Moss Provence Rose" and "York and Lancaster Rose." Displayed in a beige conservation mat. Image, 7.5"L x 10"H; overall, 13"L x 16"H. Includes a certificate with additional information. Age wear.
