Why we love this
Oil on board painting of ships by Ioan Al Steriade. Steriade was a Romanian painter originally from Constanta, a city on the Black Sea. He was influenced by sea life in his work and at the age of 19, he moved to Le Havre, France where he studied under French Marine painters such as Godchaux. Signed lower left. Minor wear to frame.
