Why we love this
Set of six Victorian English majolica leaf plates, circa 1880. A wide rim formed of smaller leaves in a concentric overlapping pattern, glazed in soft pastel tones of turquoise, cream and pink. A large central leaf in a deep iridescent glazing of green tinged with yellow ochre. Versos are also glazed in ochre, each slightly different, all marked with an impressed No. 12.Very good antique conditions, two rims with short, stable lines. One plate with glaze loss to a high point.
