I love old books. I like to read them, to look at them, to decorate with them, and to use them for the perfect present (the ultimate form of recycling). I have been arranging my book shelves by color for quite a while and after helping friends and clients do the same, and seeing the growing trend, I decided to sell decorative book collections, thus DecadesofVintage. For me, decorating with books is like painting a picture or telling a story.
Why we love this
Six-volume collection of Famous American Statesmen and Orators published in 1902. The decorative spines have gilt embellishments and lettering. The front cover has a blind stamped banding. New York: F.F. Lovell, 1902. Prior owner's bookplates. Minor wear.
